Established on a peninsula beside a small lake, Fengmu Deer Farm is located 27 kilometers southeast of Tunchang County.
It is home to more than 700 David’s Deer, Eld’s Deer, Red Deer, Sika Deer or Spotted Deer. For some docile deer, visitors are welcome to feed or take picture with them. Besides, deer-related products can be bought here at a reasonable price.
Covering an area of 13.4 hectares, it is the biggest farm of this kind in south China and a must for visitors to Hainan.
Tips:
Spotted deer will lose their coat in winter and their spots are not so obvious. You’d better avoid this season until their white spots come out.
The best season to pick pantotrichum from the Pilose antler is April.
