Guantang Hot Spring Tourism Zone, located at the foot of Baishiling Mountain in Qionghai City, covers an area of 36.5 square kilometers. It has a convenient transportation network. To its east is an exit of the Eastern Highway, and to the northwest is the Wanquan River. It is 92 kilometers from Haikou City, 15 kilometers from downtown Qionghai City, 30 kilometers from Boao Forum for Asia (BFA), 168 kilometers from Sanya City, and 25 kilometers from Wanquan River Drift.

Guantang Hot Springs, on the coast is the major middle route to appreciate the Wanquan River scenery. Guantang Hot Spring Tourism Zone, facing this picturesque river and backed by majestic Baishiling Mountain, offers a beautiful landscape and excellent surroundings.

The springs have a daily flow rate of more than 10,000 tons and the temperature ranges from 70 to 90℃. In autumn and winter, strolling around the mist-shrouded hot springs, visitors can feel relaxed and carefree.

Guantang Hot Springs contain many beneficial trace elements such as metasilicate and fluorine, and also contain strontium, bromine, iodine, lithium, etc. Thus, besides the tourism, Guantang Hot Springs have the functions of recuperation and medical care.

The area, with Guantang Hot Spring Recreation Center, Fuhai Hot Spring Hot Spring Resort, Guantang Hot Spring Holiday Resort, Caijian Hot Spring Hotel, has developed into a fully-equipped hot spring tourism zone. It was built in romantic traditional Chinese style, and graceful corridors connect the main building, villas, bowling alley, etc.

In Guantang Hot Spring Recreation Center, an open-air hot spring swimming pool measuring 2,700 cubic meters, is one of the largest in China.

Transportation: Bus from Haikou Bus Station to Qionghai City costing 21.5 yuan, andr taxi at about 20 yuan from downtown Qionghai to Guantang Hot Spring Tourism Zone.
