The State Administration of Taxation, a ministry-level department directly under the State Council, is in charge of the state's revenue work. Its main duties and responsibilities include formulating tax laws and regulations; formulating tax rules and procedures and supervising their implementation; organizing collection and administration for central taxes, shared taxes and contributions to state-designated funds; working out revenue plans; and etc.
