Established in January, 1991, the State Council Information Office (SCIO) is an administrative office under the State Council, the chief administrative body of China. SCIO's main duty and responsibility is to drive Chinese media to introduce and present to the rest of the world a real China, including China’s domestic and foreign policies, economic and social development status, history and the development situation of the country's technology, education, culture and etc.
