General Administration of Sports is the government agency responsible for sports in the China. It is subordinate to the State Council. Its main duties and responsibilities include formulating sport policies and regulations; carrying out the national fitness program; launching and supervising mass sports; setting national physical training standards and supervising their application; and etc. It also administers the All China Sports Federation and Chinese Olympic Committee.
