Lanyang Hot Springs
Lanyang Hot Springs, located in Lanyang Town, Danzhou City, is 149 kilometers from Haikou City. The zone, 6km long and 500m wide, has a daily flow rate of more than 7,000 tons.
Lanyang Hot Springs is one of largest hot springs in Hainan with more than a dozen separate springs and temperatures ranging from 41 to 93℃. The metasilicate and fluorine content is up to the requirement for mineral water, and oxygen content reaches the concentration level required. Furthermore, there are trace elements of zinc, strontium, carp, bromine and others vital for human health.
Langyang Hot Springs are characterized by high temperature, constant quality and free from extraneous odor. They have good effect on rheumatoid joints, skin and cardiovascular system diseases.
The ‘Cool and Hot Spring’ is a must-see attraction named for its two mouths, from one of which dispenses hot water and the other cold. Although the origin of these two springs is not verified, they have been accompanying each other for several centuries. The temperature of ‘Hot Spring’ reaches above 90℃, while, the water of the Cool Spring is cold even in hot summer.
After the hot spring baths, visitors are recommended to try the local hotpot and boiled eggs heated by the hot spring.
How to get there:
1) There is the bus between the West Bus Station of Haikou and Nada Town of Danzhou City with the ticket costing 30 yuan. It costs about 25 yuan by taxi from Nada Town to Lanyang Hot Spring.
2) The bus between the South Station of Danzhou City and Lanyang Town runs every five minutes from 8:20 to 18:40 with the ticket costing 2 yuan. The journey takes about 20 minutes.
