Kwan-yin Statue on Nanshan Mountain [Google.com] |
Visitors are attracted to Nanshan Culture Tourism Zone because of the beauty of Nanshan Mountain and the profound Buddhist influence there. The zone features three theme parks: Buddhism Culture Park, Blessing and Longevity Park and Hainan Custom Culture Park.
The Buddhism Culture Park was developed to help people understand the profound philosophy of Buddhism. Highlights include Nanshan Temple, the statue of the South China Sea Kwan-yin Bodhisattva. Visitors are awed by the giant sea-side statue, which stands 108 meters (353.33 feet) high and was constructed out of gold, diamonds and jade, among other precious stones.
Blessing and Longevity Park embodies the essence of Chinese culture, conveying an atmosphere of peace and good fortune.
Hainan Custom Culture Park takes advantage of its picturesque location by Nanshan to showcase tropical scenery.
